Just Awesom

I really love this one, and i love the pictures you so subtley put in your background, nice work! May i ask what coloring tech. you use to color your characters in this one?

well i used photoshop, this pic is full of photographic textures. for the robes i actually put photos of monks robes into the drawing and then painted my own shading and colours over the top, it just gives it some extra detail.

Haha it lookse great for just 1 hour. I dont know how the hell you decide how light and dark buildings should be the farther away they get, and still make it look this good in an hour! haha nice jarb man nice jarb

Well I just darken the buildings that are nearer to the viewer ,and the ones behind them get lit by the reflection of the back of the front buildings ,so they appear brighter ;)

You never seize to amaze me with your art! Another new favorite, im hopefully getting my tablet soon, and maybe then I can show you some of my stuff. You do so many crazy cool things with P.S. that you've inspired me to try my hand at it. Once again man, great job.

yeah man your works are really, really good, i have a drawing i did that im going to try and color in PS, the line art wont be as clean as yours but when i get it posted up on NG id like you to check it out and let me know what you think

Thx man :) Well a clean lineart is always a good base ,try to do as much of the work possible before scanning it, trust me ,it really helps a lot.

The character design is really nice, as well as the background, before you scanned it, did you go over a few lines in pen, or did you just darken a few with pencil?

Its all drawn with pen, haha.. don't ask why ,i just really dislike using pencils for bigger drawings.. ,i'd need to sharpen my pencil every minute or so to keep the lines equal.

So I really prefer pen ,other then that ,its scanned in and thats it 8D
